The event aims to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds to foster community and culture while promoting self-expression, confidence, and creativity through hair styling and culinary arts. We strive to create a fun, interactive and memorable experience for all attendees; encouraging them to embrace their individuality, while promoting healthy living and self-expression, as well as support small businesses and local artisans.

ABOUT OUR
Tiana was born and raised in Chester, Virginia, where her passion in the kitchen started from preparing scrumptious meals for her siblings when her parents would work late. What started as a weeknight chore, became an outlet and passion of hers. Much like her passion for cooking, hair care was another passion she would develop in her early years while caring for her two younger sisters. She would maintain their hair before school, during the week, and on Sundays before church. She and her sisters have naturally curly hair that require a consistent routine. Before leaving for college in 2011, she taught her sisters how to maintain their tresses in her absence. Her love for natural hair care grew deeply in 2015 when she attended the "Curl Passion Brunch" hosted by two natural hair enthusiasts. Following the event she was inspired to embrace her natural curls, considering she had straightened her hair in an effort to conform to corporate culture for years leading up to that moment. As a result, she began her journey with "The Big Chop!" She also invested in the best natural haircare products, and over time, transitioned her crown into the beauty it is today. Needless to say, Tiana has been a natural hair advocate, and foodie for many years. Her passion for food and natural haircare runs deep and exudes in her everyday life.
